Our engineers hold the relevant City & Guilds qualifications

Certified Engineers

Our Engineers are all certified to the lastest City & Guilds. This qualification is designed to ensure that practising electricians are familiar with the use of the Institute of Electrical Engineer's Code of Practice for in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment. There are two certificates: one for managers and one for those who carry out testing.

City & Guilds 2377-001 Management of Electrical Equipment Maintenance

This qualitifacation covers the management of electrical equipment maintenance based on the IEE Code of Practice for in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment. It includes:

  • The Law and scope of the legislation
  • Electrical equipment classification
  • In-service inspection and testing
  • Documentation and labelling
  • Instruments

City and Guilds 2377-002: Certificate of Competence for the Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT Testing)

This qualification covers the inspection and testing of electrical equipment. It includes:

  • Equipment construction
  • Inspection and recording
  • Combined inspection and testing
  • Equipment
